UPDATE: In 2024, Cowlicks was sold to the owner of the Pickwick’s chain. They changed the branding and decor to more closely match the look of their Portsmouth locations. Moo is still on the road sign for now, but he may be retiring one of these days!

When Lisa Thompson was looking to rebrand Golick’s Dover, she had a few rough concepts in mind. Then she pulled out a child’s drawing that she had been holding on to for years, and I knew we had it.

I worked to create a vector design that was as faithful as possible to the original illustration—clean and graphically strong while preserving every perfect gesture of a child’s drawing. From there, I created all of Cowlicks’ marketing materials, from the website and social media pages to print collateral, screen printed clothing, signage, forms, etc.

NOTE: I have created so many signs, banners, campaigns, and social media graphics for Cowlicks over the years that I could not possibly share them all, but one that stands out in particular was the 2020 Covid Campaign, where I took Cowlicks’ Covid guidelines and made them into a fun, friendly game, creating a board game parody for each rule.
